The SanDisk Extreme 510 was targeted towards photographers, videographers and creative professionals. The SanDisk Extreme has a storage capacity of 480 GB which uses a USB to connect to PC’s. This product can read up to 430 MB/s and can write approximately 400 MB/s using a 3.0 USB connection.

The product is also considered to be dust and water resistant.

The SanDisk Extreme 510 was made with safety in mind as well. There is a metal clip that is built into one of the corners of the product to act as a place for a carabiner to fasten itself onto. There is also a rubberized ring that embedded into the outer edges of the product. The SanDisk Extreme 510 Portable SSD has dimensions of 2.98 x 2.98 x 0.42 in. (75.69mm x 75.69 mm x 10.67 mm), weighs 0.17lbs or 78.9g, an operating temperature of 32ºF to 113ºF (0ºC to 45ºC), storage temperature of -4ºF to 158ºF (-20ºC to 70ºC), resistant up to 800 G, and vibration of 5.35 gRMS, 20-2000HZ.
